I always wondered why characters who fly under their own power never get tired. Through come to think of it, how does Superman get off the ground. It's like he switched on noclip mode/
It's not so much exercise itself that cramps you up, as unaccustomed AMOUNTS of exercise. As she works on increasing her endurance, her performance will improve. That said, you're right to point out that any workout needs to finish with a "cool down" period, to minimize residual discomfort & muscle cramps.

Kal-El's not flying, so much as levitating. He can travel at high speeds through the air while his body is fully vertical - & did, in some of his earlier adventures. His only justification for his usual style of flight is that it minimizes wind resistance, & the resulting air turbulence.
